DEPOK - Police continue to investigate the case of a TV journalist named Rudi who is suspected of being a victim of abuse by an unknown group in the Cilodong area, Depok, Sunday, February 20, early in the morning.

The Head of Public Relations of the Depok Metro Police, Kompol Supriyadi, confirmed the case. He said the Depok Metro Police was investigating.

"The buser team is still being investigated by the Depok Metro Police," said Supriyadi when confirmed by VOI, Monday, February 21.

Based on information, Rudi experienced persecution when he was about to return to his home in the Ambar complex, Cibonong, Bogor Regency. However, while crossing the Jatimulya area, he was suddenly attacked by an unknown group of people.

"So they were in the convoy in front of me, blocking the road, suddenly at the bridge behind them they blocked the road, I couldn't pass, stopped suddenly, the one behind me hit me. 'Bro, why did you hit me? It suddenly hit,'” said Rudi based on a recording received by VOI, Sunday, February 20.

"Kick me, squeeze me with a motorbike, I can't do anything about it when I'm beaten," he continued.

Rudi admitted that he fled to the Griya Melati Mas (GMM) security post and tried to find help. Rudi suspects that the perpetrators who beat him were eight people.

"Because the number of security is outnumbered, you can't do anything," he explained.

The perpetrators only stopped attacking him after local residents left their homes.

"I shouted at the residents when they came out, they panicked and fled," he said.

As a result of the assault, the victim suffered serious injuries to his head, mouth, hands and face.
