This Company Can Detect Employees Who Have The Potential To Resign From The Workplace

JAKARTA – Sangfor Technologies, a technology company based in Shenzhen, China, is reportedly able to monitor the activities of its employees. Sangfor implements a system that can assess employees who have the potential to resign or resign from the office.

The system monitors online activities carried out by employees when working in the office. From there, employee data is collected and can predict which employees will leave the workplace. Therefore, Sangfor received criticism from a number of parties.

Data analytics firm Qichacha reports that Sangfor Technologies can monitor various employee activities, including checking job sites and viewing applications sent via email.

Then, the system will compile a ranking list containing the names of employees who are most likely to resign. Qichacha revealed that the system was made directly by the company Sangfor Technologies itself.

In 2018, the company has filed a patent for a system that can read information sent by employees to social media, email, and various job vacancies sites.

This matter came to light when a former employee of Sangfor Technologies claimed to have been fired by the company. He included screenshots that allegedly came from the resignation analysis system used at Sangfor.

"My boss said he knows exactly what I'm doing during working hours," added a former worker at Sangfor Technologies, in a post on social media MaiMai.

During 2021, Sangfor Technologies did not want to comment on the matter. So far, they have not made an official statement. However, similar cases do not only occur at Sangfor Technologies. The same incident was experienced by several former employees who worked in a number of companies in China.

The Weibo social media has been enlivened with the hashtag "never send a job application using the office WiFi". The hashtag received a response from 1.3 million Weibo social media users, as reported by Insider.
