Bajaj Driver, Ojol And PPSU Officers, Willing To Queue To Get Free Rice Boxes At Tamansari

JAKARTA - Dozens of online motorcycle taxi drivers (Ojol), Bajaj drivers and PPSU officers in the Taman Sari District of West Jakarta received free rice box assistance from the West Jakarta City Government, Friday.

The West Jakarta City Government provides this assistance in the Friday Blessing program which has been echoed since the last few weeks.

"Today is the fifth Blessing Friday, we are distributing 300 free boxed rice in Taman Sari District," said the Head of the Taman Subdistrict, Sari Agus Sulaeman, quoting Antara, Friday, February 18.

Agus said the program was carried out to help residents who work on the streets, such as public transport drivers to Public Infrastructure and Facilities Handling Officers (PPSU), in meeting their daily needs.

The West Jakarta government received hundreds of boxed rice from private donations and private money from the State Civil Apparatus (ASN). The distribution of boxed rice is carried out near the sub-district office and in all sub-districts in the Taman Sari area.

According to Agus, during the activity, residents seemed enthusiastic about receiving assistance while still adhering to health protocols, namely wearing masks. They lined up neatly as his party distributed the boxed rice.

Agus hopes that this assistance can ease the burden on the middle to lower class economic residents.
