Before The MotoGP In March, NTB Residents Who Are Vaccinated Must Pass 80 Percent

JAKARTA - The West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government will work hard to boost COVID-19 vaccination in all regions. Their target is that 80 percent of citizens who have been vaccinated before the MotoGP event are held in March 2022.

The Deputy Governor of NTB, Hj Sitti Rohmi Djalilah in Mataram, emphasized that all regencies/cities must accelerate vaccination, especially in Central Lombok as the location for the MotoGP event.

"The emphasis is on vaccination because before MotoGP, 80 percent of dose two vaccinations must be carried out. We will pursue the shortage until March 11 or before MotoGP," said Sitti, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, February 16.

Currently, said the Deputy Governor, the total vaccination for the second dose has only reached 61.64 percent or 2,410,515 people from the total target population of 3,910,638 people.

As for the first vaccination, 90.34 percent or 3,532,747 people and the third dose vaccine were 1.87 percent or 73,152 people.

The Deputy Governor of NTB said that currently handling must focus on vaccination and control of PPKM level parameters. For this reason, he asked the Health Office to ensure the stock and vaccination efforts, especially in Bima City and Bima Regency, to accelerate.

"The spread of the Omicron variant in NTB is still safe. The indication of safety is seen from the availability of rooms at the hospital, the tracing of close contacts is above the national average," he said.

Therefore, the Deputy Governor hopes that all regencies/cities will complete the second vaccine target before March 20 ahead of MotoGP.

"Handling must focus on vaccination and control of PPKM level parameters," said Sitti Rohmi Djalilah.
