CCTV Caught, Man In Ojol Jacket Steals Motorbike At Pasar Rebo

JAKARTA - The theft of motorbikes with the mode of wearing an online motorcycle taxi (ojol) jacket has occurred again in the Pasar Rebo area, East Jakarta. Luckily, the perpetrator's actions were caught on CCTV cameras, making it easier for police officers to track them down.

Through CCTV footage at the scene, it can be seen that the perpetrator only needed a matter of seconds to retrieve the victim's motorbike on Jalan Trikora IV, Gedong, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta.

"Initially he (the perpetrator) entered from the gate, he moved the bicycle from the top of the motorcycle. He immediately took action to pry the contact of the motorcycle. Five seconds the motorcycle immediately started, the motorcycle was pushed back and he immediately fled. the victim's neighbor told reporters, Tuesday, February 15.

According to the witness, the perpetrator took advantage of the quiet condition, when the occupants of the house were still fast asleep.

The perpetrator carried out his theft by breaking the vehicle's ignition using a T key.

"There are already three motorbikes (lost). But what is recorded is this new CCTV. Hopefully, the motorbike will be found," said Sadam.

The victim has reported to the Pasar Rebo Police. It was later discovered that the area was a hot spot for motorcycle thefts.
