Shareefa Daanish's Sad Experience When Bullied At School: They Say I'm A Monkey
JAKARTA - Shareefa Daanish starred in the film Clandestine along with Dannia Salsibilla and Abun Sungkar. The film, which aired on KlikFilm starting February 18, illustrates the negative impact of bullying or bullying in schools.
"I am a teacher where Dannia and Abun are students. The story is about bullying at school," said Shareefa when met at Falcon Pictures, Jalan Duren Tiga, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta, Monday, February 14.
It turns out that this story of bullying was experienced by Shareefa when she was at school. Even the bullying made him feel inferior and insecure.
"Before, there was no term bully. But I was often teased by my friends. Because my face is not like most faces, and my skin is dark so I'm often called ugly, even they say I look like a monkey," he said.
Shareefa realized this because the perception of beauty for women is still identified with white skin. About her unique face, Shareefa felt sad and not confident.
"I feel inferior and wonder why my face is different. This lasts a long time and makes my heart sad," he explained.
Luckily, Shareefa Daanish's decision to study modeling gave an answer to the bullying. "When I became a model, I was chosen because of my unique face. From there, I just felt that I was different, it turned out to be an advantage, so that my confidence returned," he said.
The Clandestine film, according to him, is important to watch because it can be a space for instruction. "Bully has a very big impact. If you can't handle it, it can make people feel insecure," said Shareefa Daanish.
