Rhea Chakraborty Clothes When Arrested Steal The Attention Of Bollywood Artists
JAKARTA - Actress Rhea Chakraborty was arrested over drug use related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput in June. He was brought in by the Mumbai Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday, September 8.
When arrested, Chakraborty wore a shirt that said, "Roses are red, violets are blue, let's beat the patriarchy, me and you,"
While hinting at nothing, this piece caught the eye and became a marker of support from fellow industry stars for Chakraborty.
A number of artists such as Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Anurag Kashyap, and Amitabh Bachchan's daughter, Shweta Bachchan Nanda are some of the public figures who posted writing on Chakraborty's clothes.
"Everyone loves witch hunt as long as it is someone else being arrested," wrote Sonam Kapoor. Witch hunt is a term for finding fault.
The response of Indian public figures to the arrest of Rhea Chakraborty has been mixed. If some were supportive, others thought this was what Chakraborty deserved after influencing Singh with drugs.
Sushant Singh Rajput's brother, Shweta Singh Kirti paraphrased the sentence on Chakraborty's shirt to become "Roses are red, violets are blue, let's fight for truth, me and you,"
Previously, Chakraborty uploaded a photo showing a number of media outlets filling his house in the middle of the investigation process. He considered the Indian media too attacking him even though he did not know the facts.
On the other hand, the Mumbai Narcotics Control Bureau said Rhea Chakraborty was an active member of a syndicate group dealing with narcotics. He became a Rajput liaison with drugs and could be sentenced to up to 10 years in prison.
