COVID-19 Update As Of February 10: Continuously Rising, New Cases Today Adds 40,618
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 386,063 specimens were examined with the result that there were 40,618 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 4,667,554 people and active cases rose by 22,362 to 288,186 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, February 10.
Today's recovered cases increased by 18,182 cases, bringing the total to 4,234,510 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 74 people and a total of 144,858 people.
The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 11,090 cases and a total of 1,029,912 cases. Followed by West Java with 9,403 new cases bringing the total to 800,192 cases. Banten with 5,031 new cases and a total of 188,626 cases. East Java with 4,054 new cases bringing the total to 425,035 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 10,200 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an increase of 2,462 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 2,402 recovered cases, and Banten with an additional 1,479 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 76,071,156.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 8.32 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 23,051 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
To date, 187,696,710 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 133,703,748 the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 6,391,787. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
