KPK Seizes Documents From Former PT Antam Employees Regarding Allegations Of Corruption In Metal Anode Processing

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated documents allegedly related to the alleged corruption in the metal anode processing cooperation between PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) Tbk and PT Loco Montrado in 2017.

The confiscation was carried out when investigators examined a witness who was a former employee of PT Antam on Tuesday, February 8. The investigation was carried out at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

"Witness Nursyahrini Dewi, Manufacture Product and Service Trading Senior Office UBPP LM PT Aneka Tambang for the period November 2016 to 2018 was present to confiscate a number of documents related to this document," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri told reporters, Wednesday, February 9.

In fact, the anti-corruption commission investigators will also examine the former Vice President Sales and Operations Support of PT Antam's Precious Metals Processing and Refining Business Unit for the 2015-2017 period, Muhidin. It's just that, Ali said, the examination was not carried out because he was not present.

"The person concerned is not present and will be rescheduled. (The summons, red) will be further informed," he said.

The KPK is currently investigating allegations of corruption between PT Antam and PT Loco Montrado. Although previously the Director of PT Loco Montrado, Siman Bahar alias Bong Kin Phin, had won a pretrial lawsuit at the South Jakarta District Court, the anti-corruption commission was still pursuing suspects from state officials.

It has not been revealed who has been named as a suspect in this alleged corruption. However, the KPK has collected evidence by examining witnesses and searching a number of places in Jakarta, Banten and West Kalimantan.

Later, the announcement of the suspect in this case will be accompanied by forced detention. Not only announcing the suspects, the construction of the alleged corruption along with the articles that ensnared them were also announced.
