Minors Become Victims Of Neighbor's Sodomy, Perpetrator Found By Victim's Father In Bathroom
CILACAP – A 39-year-old man, a resident of Cipari sub-district, was arrested by the Cilacap Police, Central Java. The perpetrator with the initials S was arrested on suspicion of molestation and sodomy of a minor. Ironically, the perpetrator is a neighbor of the victim.
Wakapolres Cilacap Kompol Suryo Wibowo said, S has now been named a suspect. The perpetrators have been carrying out their actions since 2019. However, Suryo said, the family only found out about it since December 30, at 24.00 WIB, at his house.
Suryo explained that the suspect used to visit the victim's house at night. He said, he often wira-wiri in the victim's house. The victim's father, who was suspicious, asked the suspect, "It's late, why haven't you come home yet?"
However, the suspect did not respond to this question. Not long after, the victim's father was shocked after hearing a loud banging sound from inside his son's room.
Then the father tried to get out of his room, he saw the suspect was pulling his son into the bathroom. Due to panic, the victim's father chased and broke down the bathroom door of his house. Inside the room the victim was being stripped naked by the suspect.
"According to the victim's statement, he was molested by the suspect. And that has often been done since 2019," said Suryo in a release received by the editor, via text message, Monday, February 7.
The victim's father admitted that his son had experienced physical and psychological changes. Suryo said, the post-mortem results have proven what the suspect did to the victim.
"The perpetrator molested the victim by giving the lure of five thousand rupiahs of pocket money, so that the victim would be molested by the perpetrator," explained Kompol Suryo, adding.
For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with molestation against a minor, Article 82 paragraph (1) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 17 of 2016 concerning the Stipulation of Perpu No. 1 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection into Law.
