Not Just Any Crazy Rich, Mardani Maming Prepares IDR 1 Trillion For Super Intensive Vanname Shrimp Farm Investment
JAKARTA - Chairman of the Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (BPP HIMPI) Mardani H. Maming plans to invest up to IDR 1 trillion in Batam, Riau Islands Province. He will prepare such a large value for the super-intensive vannamei shrimp farming industry.
Maming said Batam in Riau Islands is a strategic city, close to neighboring countries. "The industry in Batam is also growing rapidly along with infrastructure development carried out by the local government," said Maming in his statement while attending the inauguration of BPD HIPMI Riau Islands and HIPMI Cares for Riau Islands at the Best Western Premier Panbil Hotel, Mukakuning, Batam, Monday, February 7.
On that occasion, the former regent of Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan, praised the infrastructure development in Batam which was considered to make the roads wide, neat, and clean. "If there is land available in Batam, I will invest in the super-intensive vannamei pond industry," he said.

He continued, to support the industry to be built, a supporting industry will also be built in the form of a food processing factory from the vannamei pond industry.
"We have seen in developed countries in Asia such as Japan and Korea, where their pond industry is upstream, the results from the pond are directly processed into food that is ready to be marketed in retail and supermarket markets," he said.
Then, if it is possible to obtain suitable land from the Batam Concession Agency (BP), the industry with an investment value of IDR 1 trillion can absorb around a thousand local workers.
"If BP Batam can prepare 50 hectares of land, this industry can absorb around a thousand workers. Because starting from the pond industry to the food industry, they use technology and most of them will be fully automated," he explained.
