Police Arrest Enos, Member Of The Papuan KKB Leader Undius Kogoyo While Searching For Ammunition In Timika

TIMIKA - The Mimika Police Joint Team and the Cartenz Peace Operations Gakum Task Force have arrested ET alias Enos, a fugitive from the armed criminal group (KKB) who has been involved in a series of violence in Intan Jaya Regency, Papua.

Mimika Police Chief, AKBP IGG Era Adhinata, said that the police arrested Enos at a location in the Jalan Budi Utomo Timika area on Saturday, February 5.

The person concerned is known to be in Timika looking for ammunition which he plans to supply to his group in Intan Jaya.

"Before he got the ammunition, we secured him first. When he was arrested he did not carry a weapon," said Era Adhinata as quoted by Antara, Monday, February 7.

Along with Enos' arrest, the police arrested six other people.

However, after undergoing interrogation, the six people were finally released because they were not proven to have committed a crime. "The others we have sent home," he explained.

The suspect, Enos, is known to be a subordinate of Undius Kogoyo, one of the KKB leaders in the Intan Jaya area.

The position held by Enos in his group is the Deputy Commander of the Baitua Post in Intan Jaya Regency. Several series of crimes committed by the suspect Enos since 2020, including the shooting that occurred on August 15, 2020 in Intan Jaya which resulted in the death of a motorcycle taxi driver named Jainudin. world.

Enos was also involved in the shooting of the team that picked up the group of the Wakapolda Papua (at that time was held by Brigadier General Matthew D Fakhiri who is now the Head of the Papuan Police). The incident took place on September 25, 2022.

The suspect, Enos, was also identified as having interfered with shooting at the Sugapa Sector Police on September 30, 2020, shooting at the Intan Jaya Koramil Post on February 15, 2021, burning Rian's kiosk on October 30, 2021, and shooting Ramli, the owner of a kerosene kiosk, on February 8, 2021.

Police officers are still continuing to develop investigations into this case to explore the role of the suspect Enos in various armed actions that have taken place in the Intan Jaya Regency area so far.
