TOP Leaves YG Entertainment After BIGBANG Releases New Song
JAKARTA - The YG Entertainment agency announced two surprising news for BIGBANG fans or called VIPs. Monday, February 7, YG Entertainment stated that BIGBANG will soon be releasing a new song this spring.
"(BIGBANG) has completed the recording of their new song and now they are preparing to shoot a music video," YG Entertainment said in a statement to TenAsia.
However, the agency also shared the news that BIGBANG member TOP will be leaving the agency after 16 years.
“TOP's exclusive contract with YG has ended and he will be taking on new challenges as an artist and entrepreneur. We accepted TOP's decision to expand his individual activities apart from BIGBANG and he found an agreement with the other members," the agency continued.
Regardless, TOP will always participate in BIGBANG's activities as long as the conditions allow.
Previously, BIGBANG was scheduled to greet fans through the Coachella Festival in 2020 but was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On the other hand, the title of BIGBANG's new song is not yet known but this song is sure to mark their hiatus after the release of Flower Road in March 2018.
