Mainstay Goalkeeper Absent In The Match Against Persija, Arema Coach Doesn't Care

JAKARTA - Arema FC will face Persija Jakarta in week 23 of Liga 1 2021/2022. In the match which was held on Saturday, February 5, Singo Edan was confirmed without the presence of their mainstay goalkeeper, Aldison Maringa.

The goalkeeper could not appear because of an injury in the match against Persela, Tuesday, February 1 last. However, Arema FC coach, Eduardo Almeida remains relaxed.

The concocting interpreter refused to bother about Maringa's absence. Because, Arema FC still has several other names. With the belief that his team has overall strength and quality in every line, Almeida remains confident looking at the match against Kemayoran Tigers.

"(Aldison) Maringa is the same goalkeeper as any other goalkeeper. We have Maringga, we have Teguh Amiruddin, we also have Chico. We'll see who will appear. We think Maringa's absence will not have a big impact on us," said Eduardo, quoted from Arema FC's official website.

Furthermore, regarding the preparation of the team, Almeida also said that Singo Edan was in a very ready stage. Therefore, he is confident to set a high target in the match later.

"We have made all preparations for the match against Persija. Our target in this match is to get three points to maintain our ranking in the standings," added Almeida.

"We will face Persija, a big team, but we are prepared to do our best to win, to get the three points which is our main target," he concluded.

The match between Arema FC and Persija Jakarta will take place at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali, tonight at 20.30 WIB. In this match, Arema FC also has a mission to extend their unbeaten record in 19 consecutive matches.
