Residents Are Excited To Find Bodies Stuck In Ciliwung River, East Jakarta
JAKARTA - A resident without an identity was found dead floating in the Ciliwung River, behind Carefour MT Haryono, Cawang Village, Kramat Jati District, East Jakarta, Friday, February 4.
Seeing a corpse, a resident named Bayu immediately reported the findings to the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Sudin Gulkarmat).
"We have deployed seven rescue personnel with rubber boats to evacuate by following the Ciliwung River. The victim's body is stuck on the banks of the Ciliwung River, behind Carefour MT Haryono, Cawang Village, Kramat Jati," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Gatot Sulaeman to reporters, Friday. February 4, noon.
The victim's body was found by officers from the East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. at around 09.55 WIB. Based on the testimony of a number of witnesses, the victim was identified as Alfianto (27) a resident of Jalan Eretan II, Balekambang Village.
"The victim left the house without carrying an identity. Missing since Wednesday 2 February, early in the morning, and found Friday 4 February morning in a lifeless condition," said Gatot.
The victim's body was evacuated by officers by placing it in a body bag that had been prepared. For further investigation, the victim's body was taken to the hospital for post-mortem.
