For Security's Sake, Prosecutor's Office Moves Two Corruption Detainees In Alor

KUPANG - The Alor District Attorney, East Nusa Tenggara Province, transferred two detainees in the corruption case in the alleged corruption of the 2019 FY Education Special Allocation Fund (DAK) at the Alor District Education Office to the Kupang Penfui Penitentiary State Detention Center, for the safety of the two suspects.

"The transfer of the two suspects is in order to maintain security and speed up the legal process against the two suspects," said Head of the Legal Information and Public Relations Section of the NTT High Prosecutor's Office, Abdul Hakim in Kupang, as reported by Antara, Thursday, February 3.

He said the two suspects, namely Albert Ouwpoly and Khairul Umam, had been transferred by investigators from the Alor District Attorney's Office from the Mola Kalabahi Prison State Detention Center, Alor Regency to the Kupang detention center using a Wings Airplane on Thursday, February 3.

"The purpose of the transfer of the two suspects is to maintain security and speed up the legal process for the alleged corruption," said Abdul Hakim.

He said the transfer of the two suspects had been coordinated between investigators from the Alor District Attorney and the East Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office regarding the pickup of the two suspects at El-Tari Airport in Kupang.

According to him, the process of transferring the two suspects took place in accordance with the COVID-19 prevention health protocol.

Abdul Hakim said that before leaving for Kupang City, an antigen swab was carried out to ensure that they were exposed to COVID-19 or not.

"When they arrived at the East Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office, an antigen swab was also carried out at the Pratama Clinic of the East Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office and all were negative," said Abdul Hakim.
