Whistleblower Adam Deni 'Mysterious', Lawyer Calls Not SYD
JAKARTA - Adam Deni's attorney, Susandi, stated that he did not yet know the person who reported the alleged illegal access case. Meanwhile, the National Police previously stated that the reporter for the case had the initials SYD.
"We don't know yet, we haven't been able to meet the investigators. We haven't been able to get any information regarding the case," Susandi told reporters at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Thursday, February 3.
Susandi said there was other information regarding the reporting person. Where, the complainant is not the man with the initials SYD.
"That's what we still want to ask investigators, the reporter is in the name of the initials SYD. But what we heard was that there was a reporter, not that name," he said.
In addition, Susandi stated that his party would submit a request to investigators to conduct a BAP or re-examination. The reason was that the legal team at that time could not provide assistance.
"We also want to ask for a repeat BAP regarding this issue. Because we have not been able to accompany the BAP, we have asked the investigators to reschedule the BAP," said Susandi.
Adam Deni was arrested by the Directorate of Cyber Crime, Bareskrim Polri on suspicion of illegal access, on February 1. He uploaded other people's documents to social media.
The arrest was based on a police report number LP/B/0040/I/2022/SPKT/Dittipidsiber of the Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police, dated January 27, 2022. The reporter has the initials SYD.
After the examination was completed, investigators decided to detain Adam Deni for the next 20 days at the Bareskrim remand center. He was charged with Article 48 paragraphs 1,2 and 3 in conjunction with Article 32 paragraphs 1,2 and 3 of the ITE Law.
