Amazing Video Of A Man Claiming To Be Hit By A Car, Police: It's An Old Mode, Perpetrators Are Being Investigated

JAKARTA - East Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKBP Ahsanul Muqaffi has spoken about the viral video of a man claiming to have been hit by a car. Muqaffi said that after receiving a report on the incident, his party immediately checked the location of the incident in the Pasar Rebo area, East Jakarta, precisely in front of the Plaza PP Building.

"(The police did) We checked the truth of the information regarding the victims of the hit-and-run mode as if their feet had been crushed by a car tire, pretending to be limp," said Muqaffi, Saturday, January 29.

Muqaffi confirmed that at the time of the incident there were two men riding a motorbike chasing an Avanza car. The two men were about to stop the car under the pretext of asking for responsibility for the foot that was run over.

It is known, in the car there was 1 man driving the car, and 2 women as passengers. Suddenly the perpetrator got off the motorbike and ran with a limp leg, then blocked the car from the front.

"The male offender, who was in a cradle position, ran after the black Avanza, and stopped in front of the car shouting, pointing at his feet as if he was run over by the victim's car," said Muqaffi.

The perpetrator also shouted to other passersby that his leg had been run over by the driver of the Avanza Car. In fact, said Muqaffi, it was just a trick of the perpetrators. And it turns out that the local residents did not even respond to calling the perpetrators lying.

Muqaffi explained that local residents finally asked the car driver to continue their journey because the road conditions were already jammed due to the perpetrator's actions.

"This is the old mode," said AKBP Ahsanul Muqaffi.

According to Kasat, such actions have existed since five years ago. However, thanks to social media, a similar incident has now gone viral in the community.

"It's been five years already there," he said. The police are conducting a search for the perpetrators. Witnesses and evidence were gathered to serve as clues.

"(The perpetrator) has not been identified. That happened on Wednesday, right. When we checked it wasn't yesterday, it was just viral. Yesterday, the members have checked again. We are still asking the witnesses in the field," he said.
