JAKARTA - Grab Indonesia has strengthened its commitment to supporting inclusive access to education for all partner families, through the GrabScholar 2025 program supported by BenihBaik.com.
In the implementation of the GrabScholar Awarding Ceremony on Thursday, February 12, Grab Indonesia and BenihBaik.com this year provided scholarships to 2,316 members of Grab's partner families, ranging from elementary school to college.
Grab Indonesia CEO, Neneng Goenadi, said this program is part of Grab's long-term investment to build the future of Indonesia's young generation.
"For us, education is the best investment for the future, and as part of Grab's commitment to Indonesia, I hope we can continue to collaborate across sectors to open as many opportunities as possible to access education, especially for the Grab family," said Grab Indonesia CEO. Neneng Goenadi.
Neneng revealed that this year's GrabScholar recipients were screened from more than 56,000 applicants throughout Indonesia. 2,316 selected applicants consist of 2,286 students from elementary, middle, and high schools, and 30 others are university students.
Since its first launch in 2022, the GrabScholar program has reached a total of 5,700 scholarship recipients. Of these, 38 recipients are people with disabilities.
In addition to educational funding assistance, Grab also provides assistance during the program. To support learning in the digital era, Grab provides additional facilities in the form of laptops for student scholarship recipients.
"Because this hopefully can help learning needs, especially in this fast-paced era. For us, education is the best investment for the future," added Neneng.
Benihbaik.com founder, Andy F. Noya, said this program is not just financial assistance, but also a great opportunity for families to change the future through education.
Andy also highlighted that there are still many children in the area who do not dare to dream big because of the limitations of the family's economy. According to him, programs like GrabScholar are important to open up new hope.
"Let the children dream as high as the sky. Education is an opportunity to get out of limitations," he concluded.
