JAKARTA - Infinix stole the spotlight at CES 2026 by introducing the NOTE 60 Series, the first line of consumer mobile phones equipped with a global satellite communication system for two-way voice calls and text messages. This step marks a shift in the focus of the smartphone industry, from just competing with cameras to full independence from conventional cellular networks.
Unlike satellite features that have been limited to emergency services, Infinix's solution is designed as an always-on connection. This system is claimed to be able to reach almost two-thirds of the Earth's surface. Although the transmission speed is in the range of 4 Kbps, the connection has been optimized to support high-quality voice calls and two-way SMS.
The device can also automatically switch between satellite networks and mobile roaming, allowing users to stay connected in signal-free areas without the need for additional registration. In short, signal loss is no longer an excuse.
To support high performance and readiness for the 6G era, Infinix also introduced the HydroFlow Liquid Cooling architecture. This cooling system uses a dual piezoelectric ceramic pump that is driven by high-frequency electric current to push the coolant fluid up to 6.5 ml per minute, twice as fast as conventional systems.
Infinix also incorporates a piezoelectric fan based on a super-thin vibrating sheet 0.1 mm thick, thinner than half a human hair. This propeller-less fan pulsates up to 25,000 times per second, creating a high-pressure air blast that is claimed to be ten times more effective in controlling temperature than a mechanical fan, while working silently. For heavy users, ranging from gamers to AI-intensive processing, this means stable performance without excessive heat effects.
On the entertainment side, Infinix is teasing the market with new gaming devices, including the industry's first split controller with a pressure-sensitive touchpad for ultra-low latency. The company also showcased a wireless magnetic trigger with a mouse-class micro-switch, which effectively turns a mobile phone into a handheld console.
The visual identity of the NOTE 60 Series also received a radical update through the Active Visual Backplate technology. Instead of static colors, the back of the phone uses smart materials such as photochromic leather and thermochromic ink that react to light and temperature. The effect, the color can change, displaying 3D visuals, to flowing animations, without consuming additional power. The design is alive, the battery is still economical.
To complement its ecosystem, Infinix introduced AI ModuVerse, a series of modular magnetic accessories. Inside there is Meeting Modu for instant translation, VlogCam Modu with AI-based subject tracking, Mic Modu for professional noise reduction, to StackPower Modu as an additional resource. The approach is simple: one phone, many functions, just stick.
Although the official launch date of the Infinix NOTE 60 Series, including the NOTE 60 Ultra variant, has not been announced, the message conveyed is clear. Infinix not only wants to make a smartphone, but a communication device that stays alive when the network is down. In an era where signals are often considered trivial, Infinix actually makes it a main feature.
