Pebble Officially Launches Round 2 Smartwatch with Color E-Paper Screen and Two Weeks Battery Life

JAKARTA - Pebble officially returned to the wearable market by launching the Pebble Round 2. This device marks the return of the iconic round watch design of the Pebble watch that was first introduced through the Pebble Time Round in 2015. This latest model retains the typical minimalist look of Pebble, but brings improvements to screen size, battery life, and internal components.

Pebble Round 2 is equipped with a 1.3-inch color e-paper screen with a resolution of 260 x 260 pixels and a density of 283 DPI. Unlike the previous generation, Pebble now eliminates the thick bezel so that the screen stretches closer to the edge of the body.

The watch uses a 8.1 mm thick stainless steel frame, slightly thicker than the old model which measures 7.5 mm, but still thinner than most modern smartwatches.

This smartwatch runs Pebble OS which remains open source. Pebble Round 2 is compatible with Android and iOS devices via the Pebble app. Thanks to the use of a power-saving E Ink screen and a newer Bluetooth chip, Pebble claims a battery life of up to two weeks on a single charge.

Pebble Round 2 comes equipped with four physical buttons, a touch screen interface, and a backlight for visibility in low light conditions. For health features, this watch provides basic tracking such as step counters and sleep monitoring. There is no heart rate sensor or other advanced health features.

The device is equipped with an accelerometer sensor, magnetometer, and linear resonance actuator for vibration feedback. Two integrated microphones allow users to send voice responses and interact with AI-based assistants. However, the Pebble Round 2 does not have a speaker, so it does not support direct phone calls from the watch.

In terms of durability, the Pebble Round 2 has a water resistance certification of up to 30 meters. This watch supports downloading applications and watchfaces through the Pebble Appstore, which currently offers more than 15,000 options. Pebble provides Round 2 in matte black, brushed silver, and polished rose gold color options, with two strap size options according to the variant.

Pebble markets Round 2 at a price of 199 US dollars (Rp3.3 million). Pre-orders are open through the rePebble.com website, with the first delivery scheduled to begin in May 2026.

For comparison, the smartwatch market is also enlivened by the launch of the Xiaomi Watch 5 which comes with a dual-chip design, ECG support, EMG-based gesture control, and eSIM connectivity. Meanwhile, Lenovo has just launched the Watch GT Pro which offers dual-frequency GPS, battery life of up to 27 days, and more complete health tracking features.
