Dubai Presents Contactless Check-In Solutions With Biometric Verification

Dubai announced the implementation of biometric and digital technology, which allows visitors to be able to check-in hotels without contact, with only one verification.

This biometric technology is developed by Visit Dubai and is available through a number of independent providers, and is ready to be integrated directly by hotels and other lodging throughout Dubai.

This innovative system allows guests to complete the entire check-in process before arriving, directly from their phones. With a single upload of identity documents and biometric data, the entire check-in flow becomes much simpler, cutting and even eliminating traditional check-in waiting times.

Arriving at the hotel, guests can directly pass the check-in procedure at the reception. Safely stored data will remain valid until the identity document expires, so that on the next visit guests only need quick authentication, for example through facial recognition.

"This technology also makes repeated visits more practical for loyal repeaters, as well as enabling hotels and holiday homes in Dubai to focus more on valuable and meaningful guest interactions," said Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Visit Dubai), which is part of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism.

This solution is designed to be easily integrated into existing hotel applications or web platforms, so that the transition for participating business people runs smoothly.

In addition to its immediate benefits, this technology also has great potential to be applied at various other tourist service points, such as car rentals, thus providing a more integrated and personal visit experience throughout the city.
