XREAL 1S, World's First AR Glasses With 2D Video Conversion To 3D Automatically

JAKARTA - XREAL closed 2025 by releasing XREAL 1S, the latest AR glasses model under XREAL One Pro in its product lineup. This device is the world's first AR perspective to offer a 2D to 3D video automatic conversion feature, a capability that has never been present on consumer AR devices before.

These AR glasses have a weight of only 82 grams, making them remain light and comfortable to use. XREAL equipped it with a pair of 0.68-inch OLED microdisplays made by Sony which offered a resolution of 1920times1200 per eye, with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

When the user activates 2D-to-3D mode, the refresh rate will drop to 30Hz, but XREAL promises a steady visual experience thanks to a 52-degree field of view, 700-nit brightness rate, and color accuracy < 3.

This 3D conversion capability is powered by XREAL's own X1 spatial computing chip. The chip is capable of maintaining latency as low as 3ms, very important to support 3DoF head tracking (three degrees of freedom). With this feature, the virtual screen will remain in the same position even if the user moves the head, providing a more natural AR experience.

XREAL product manager Takao Takayama revealed that the 2D-to-3D conversion feature will also come to XREAL One and One Pro models via software updates released in conjunction with the 1S launch.

For usage convenience, XREAL also includes a variety of additional features, such as audio played by Bose, four microphone arrays, as well as the ability to set automatic light transmission rates between 0%, 35%, and 100% according to user needs. XREAL 1S comes in one color variant, namely Silent Blue.

Along with these glasses, XREAL also introduced a new accessory called XREAL Neo, a power bank specifically designed for AR needs. Neo is priced at 14,580 yen and will be available from the end of January.

This device carries a 10,000mAh battery, two USB-C ports, and the ability to forward videos to AR glasses while charging the smartphone. Interestingly, Neo can also function as a dock for the Nintendo Switch, including the latest Switch 2 model.

For users who want to buy a complete package, XREAL offers 1S + Neo bundles for 76,560 yen, around 6,000 yen cheaper than buying separately. Initial buyers will also get bonuses in the form of XREAL Hubs as pre-order prizes.
