JAKARTA - Roblox is expanding its creator ecosystem by launching a new phase of the intellectual licensing platform (IP) that allows IP holders and creators to collaborate more easily and measurably.
First launched in Juki 2025, Licensing Platform allows creators to collaborate with intellectual property rights owners and use them on the Roblox platform.
Through this update, Roblox has now opened a self-serve license service so that creators can quickly obtain an IP license based on standard regulations.
Thus, creators can build new popular IP-based experiences while increasing visibility, expanding player bases, and opening up new monetization opportunities.
For IP holders, License Manager provides automatic tools that allow them to register IP, establish license provisions, set distributions, monitor IP usage, and collect revenue directly.
Meanwhile, for Indonesian creators, this update will make it easier for them to access official licenses to create experiences that attract millions of players.
"This platform empowers creators to build experiences featuring popular IPs, as well as provides more opportunities to increase their appearance, expand the player base, and increase monetization," said Roblox Senior Product Director Greg Hartrell.

Since the early stages, a number of large IPs such as Lionsgate, Netflix, Sega, and Kodansha have joined. The creator community response was extraordinary: more than 1,500 license requests have been submitted.
As a result, various IP-based experiences began to emerge, such as Blue Lock: Rivals, which have recorded more than 4 billion visits, and The Squid Game which has been favored more than 1.6 million times.
With the launch of this self-serve service, Roblox hopes that more global IP brands and holders will participate, as well as encourage the birth of new creative experiences on the platform.
