Kaspersky And Telkom University Collaboration Encourages Better Cybersecurity Education

JAKARTA - Kaspersky signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Telkom University, in implementing educational and scientific initiatives aimed at developing basic education and vocational in the field of cybersecurity in Indonesia.

In this agreement, Kaspersky will provide students and Tel-U faculty the opportunity to participate in specialist conferences, seminars, summer and winter schools, contests, competitions, promotions, exhibitions, and other similar events organized by Kaspersky and his partners.

"We see this strategic partnership as the ideal platform for sharing knowledge and experience with the younger generation who will be the protectors of Indonesia's digital world in the future," said General Manager for ASEAN and AEC Kaspersky, Simon Tung.

In addition, Kaspersky will also encourage the development of expertise and actively involve Tel-U faculty in the development and implementation of new courses, programs and teaching materials for Tel-U.

Meanwhile, Kaspersky Country Manager for Indonesia, Defi Nofitra, emphasized that this collaboration marks the beginning of joint efforts to foster a generation of students who are aware of cybersecurity.

"By empowering prospective cybersecurity professionals in Indonesia with the right knowledge, skills, and mindset, we are laying the groundwork for a safer digital future, where they are at the forefront of national defense against cyber threats that continue to grow," he added.

Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs Telkom University, Parman Sukarno, also believes this collaboration will strengthen Tel-U's commitment to advancing cybersecurity education and research.

"Through collaboration with Kaspersky, we aim to create impactive initiatives that increase academic excellence and contribute to Indonesia's digital resilience," he said.
