Official: Samsung XR Headset 'Project Moohan' Launches October 21 At 'Worlds Wide Open' Event

JAKARTA - Samsung has finally set a date for the official announcement of its newest VR headset Samsung's Project Moohan XR Headset. Samsung first teased Project Moohan at an Unpacked event in January, and had held demonstrations at various events throughout the year. In fact, I had tried a demonstration on Google I/O last summer.

Now, Samsung is finally preparing to make it official, in a new Galaxy Event called the Worlds Wide Open. In this event, Samsung said that they would introduce a new era of multimodal AI and launch Project Moohan, the first product built for an open and up-to-date Android XR platform.

The event will take place on October 21 at 10 p.m. ET (East Time). With this time, it is quite clear that Samsung is holding a virtual event that coincides with time in Korea.

This is in line with some of the rumors we hear about the Android XR headset, where the product may be limited in Korea although, we do hope this product is launched in one or two other countries.

Reportedly this gadget will use the name 'Galaxy XR' and be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2. Of course, the public also hopes that this headset has an extraordinary screen, considering that it is Samsung's main advantage.
