Apple Launches Firmware Update For This AirPods Model

JAKARTA Apple has launched an update for several AirPods models. These updates are available for three earbuds models, including AirPods Pro 3, AirPods Pro 2, and AirPods 4.

This firmware comes with serial number 8A358. This figure is an increase from the previous version, namely 8A356 which was used in AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4. Meanwhile, AirPods Pro 3 previously used the firmware version 8A357.

Currently, Apple has not published a specific change note for the update. Most likely, this firmware only includes bug fixes and other standard improvements.

This is a common practice that Apple often does at minor software launches. This update can also be used as preparation for feature integration in the upcoming software.

Launching from 9to5mac, the launch of this software is believed to be present to support the expansion of the Direct Translation feature into a new language. This expansion will be made in the iOS 261 update.

For now, iOS 26.1 is still in the beta testing phase for developers. The public launch to this operating system is expected to take place by the end of October.

AirPods firmware release schedules are often uncertain and difficult to predict. This update is not always on time with the release of iOS updates. This may be due to a slightly different AirPods firmware installation process.
