For 2025, the IMDI measurement was carried out in July-August involving more than 18 thousand individual respondents and 11,000 industrial respondents has also integrated the Digital Literacy Index (ILD) indicator, thus providing a more comprehensive and up-to-date picture to the district/city level.

At the provincial level, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government managed to win the highest IMDI score nationally with 56.97, followed by Bangka Belitung (52.15) and West Java (52.05).

As for the City level, Malang is the city with the highest IMDI, overtaking Jakarta. The IMDI Malang score is 62.67. Meanwhile, West Jakarta is 61.58, South Jakarta is 59.93, and East Jakarta is 59.23

The achievement of Malang City is supported by: strong digital infrastructure and ecosystems (79.61), high community digital literacy (63.69), the use of technology in the creative economy, MSMEs to public services (57.75), and Empowerment (46.55).

The presence of IMDI in the end became a solid foundation for the formulation of evidence-based policies, ensuring that every step in Indonesia's digital transformation is in line with the ideals of Indonesia Gold 2045.
