Elon Musk Invites Netflix Boycott For Airing LGBTQ Series For Children, Here's The Fact

JAKARTA Elon Musk invites his followers to cancel Netflix subscriptions. This call was conveyed on the X account, previously known as Twitter, his personal on Tuesday, October 1, 2025.

Musk made this call after clips from children's animated series circulated on various social media. The series is friendly to the LGBTQ community for displaying transgender characters. According to Musk, this series is inappropriate for children.

This controversial clip is taken from the second episode of the Netflix original series entitled Dead End: Paranormal Park. This series is intended for children because it gets the TV-Y7 rankings. This means that the series is recommended for children aged 7 years and over.

Not only Musk, many large accounts uploaded the clip and said that the series did not match the rankings given by Netflix. Just like Musk, these accounts also voiced the termination of Netflix subscriptions.

"This is not allowed," Musk said in one of his posts. "Cancel Netflix for the health of your children." Musk was also seen re-sharing some posts supporting a boycott invitation to the streaming platform.

The Serial Maker's Response

Hamishploy, creator of the Dead End: Paranormal Park series, responded to a boycott call against Netflix. Through the Bluesky platform, he stated that people's posts about his promotional series were not true.

"Everything is a lie and slander! Netflix is not promoting this event right now!" Musk wrote in his post. His feelings were expressed after the series clip went viral on X, especially after Musk's upload was liked by nearly a million people.

Dead End: Paranormal Park is a Netflix series that aired in 2022. The series has two episodes in two seasons. However, the series did not last long as Netflix ended its show in 2023.

This cancellation was made long before the controversy heated up again. Netflix did not provide official comments regarding Musk's boycott calls and a number of other users. Although the series was canceled and not promoted further, all episodes are still available for viewing.
