JAKARTA - T-Mobile announced the major expansion of its T-Satellite service, the result of collaboration with SpaceX's Starlink satellite network, which can now be used in more applications.

Previously, this service only supported short message services. However, with this expansion, T-Satellite allows smartphone users in the United States to access WhatsApp, AllTrails, AccuWeather, to X (Twitter), even though they are in areas without cellular signals.

"Now we are up one level bringing important applications and services into it. Now we are up one level bringing important applications and services into it," said Mike Katz, President, Marketing, Innovation and Experience, T-Mobile in its official announcement.

In addition to consumers, T-Mobile is also expanding its T-Satellite into the business realm, providing connectivity to always be active on iOS and Android. This feature is already included in SuperMobile and T-Priority packages.

By presenting safe connectivity in a field work environment that was previously unreachable, T-Satellite opened new opportunities for important operations and critical missions.

Using satellite ready apps is just as easy as other T-Satellite services. The phone will automatically connect to the satellite network when the cellular signal disappears, without a specific setting or should be directed to the sky.

The app will continue to run as usual, only with priority on important services so that it can function in areas without cell towers.

"It really changes the game in terms of safety, peace of mind, and freedom to stay connected almost anywhere," Katz concluded.
