JAKARTA Grammarly, an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based writing service, launched multi-language support for five additional languages. This means that users can write and correct other than English.

Five new languages supported by Grammarly include Spain, France, Portuguese, German and Italian. In its broadcast, Grammarly said that this launch was an answer to the increasing demand of users.

Previously, Grammarly only focused on improving English writing. By adding more diverse language support, the platform will help communicate globally and reach more users.

All customers, both free and paid users, can access this language support. They can also take advantage of features such as grammar and spelling corrections, paragraph-level rewriting, and line-up translation.

For the translation feature, users can translate their text directly. They can translate one of the five new languages into 19 other languages. English can certainly work with this line of translation features.

"Our subscription has asked for multilingual support and we are fulfilling it wherever they are," said Ailian Gan, Director of Grammarly Product Management. Ailian stated that this feature is available on 500,000 applications and websites.

Prior to its launch, this multilingual tool had been tested on 1 million people. The results showed a positive response from the testers. However, Grammarly did not share a more detailed number of uses.

Grammarly recorded 40 million daily active users last May. The launch of this multilingual feature is expected to increase the number of users. This step shows the company's strategy to continue to grow.

The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
