Dimensity 9500 Chip Makes Heboh: CPU And Super Gahar GPU, Vivo X300 Becomes First!

JAKARTA - The latest flagship chipset from MediaTek, Dimensity 9500, is rumored to be bringing significant improvements to CPU and GPU performance, according to information from a trusted Chinese tipter. The leak says that Dimensity 9500 will be a big leap over Dimensity 9000 and Dimensity 9000+ chips.

MediaTek is rumored to be launching its next-generation flagship chipset, Dimensity 9500, on September 22. If this information is correct, MediaTek will surpass Qualcomm which plans to launch the latest Snapdragon SoC on September 23.

Ahead of the launch, a number of details regarding this MediaTek chip have been leaked. The Digital Chat Station tipster on Weibo has now revealed nearly complete specifications of Dimensity 9500, which show a major increase in CPUs and GPUs.

According to the source, MediaTek built Dimensity 9500 using the advanced 3nm N3P fabrication process from TSMC, which promises a significant increase in performance and power efficiency. The chip will have a major core of Travis with a clock speed of 4.21GHz, accompanied by three Alto performance cores at a speed of 3.50GHz, as well as four core glass efficiency at 2.7GHz.

In the graphics sector, Dimensity 9500 is rumored to be using the Mali-G1 Ultra GPU with 12 cores. This GPU has a new microarcitecture that supports better ray tracing and lower power consumption.

Furthermore, the tipster states that Dimensity 9500 will be equipped with the latest generation of NPU 9.0. The Neural Processing Unit is claimed to be capable of producing around 100 TOPS (operation trillions per second), which will enhance artificial intelligence-based features. MediaTek will also increase its L3 cache on this chip to 16MB, up from 12MB in the Dimensity 9000 series.

The new chip will have a system cache of 10MB, support 4-channel LPDDR5x RAM at a speed of 10,667Mbps, as well as 4-lane UFS storage. In addition, the source mentioned that Dimensity 9500 will use Vivo's V3+ ISP version, although this feature may be exclusive to Vivo products.

It should be noted that this tipter has a reliable track record in leaking the latest device information. The same Weibo channel also revealed the launch date of this new MediaTek processor last month.

If this report is true, the Vivo X300 series will be the first device to use the Dimensity 9500 chip in September. Following the OPPO Find X9 series will be launched in October with the same SoC.
