JAKARTA - Meta has officially expanded access to the AI Translations feature, which allows reels video content to be automatically translated into other languages with lip dubbing and synchronization, to Facebook and Instagram users.

"With Meta AI Translations, you can talk to viewers in their own language, open access to new audiences that may previously have difficulty understanding your content," Meta wrote in its announcement.

The tech giant revealed that the feature leverages the original sound and intonation of creators, resulting in authentically soundd translations.

Lip synchronization also makes mouth movements appear in accordance with the language of translation, as if creators actually speak in that language.

For the initial stage, Meta AI Translations is available for English and British translations. The company promises to present more languages in the future.

Facebook creators with 1,000 followers or more and all Instagram public accounts can already access this feature.

The usage process is simple. Creators simply activate the Translate your voice with Meta AI option before sharing the REALs. The translation results can be reviewed in advance and still do not affect the original version of the content.

After that, the audience will automatically see the translation according to the language of their choice, and can disable it if it is not needed.

You have full control over this experience: you can turn on or off, review, or delete the translation at any time, concluded the announcement.

The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
