Tipster Leaks Pixel 10 Pro Fold Release Date, Qi2 Support Comes

JAKARTA - A leading technology information leak, Evan Blass (known also as evleaks), has confirmed a release date for the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold. This foldable phone is scheduled to be available on October 9 in the US market, along with Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a.

Previously, Google was rumored to be announcing six products at the August 20 event. However, only three of them will be available in the same month, to be precise on August 28: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL.

The other three products Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2a will only be released in October. Evan Blass has now confirmed that the date he has been waiting for is October 9.

In addition to the release date, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will also support Qi2 wireless charging. This feature has previously been confirmed to be present on the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL, complete with built-in magnets. While it is not certain whether the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will also have a magnet, this move shows that Google wants to compete with Apple in terms of wireless charging.

Google is expected to use 15W wireless charging technology for this device. The company will also call this technology Pixelsnap, and most likely phones will be compatible with various magnetic accessories. Several leaks of Pixelsnap casing have emerged, although none have been specially designed for the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
