JAKARTA - In the midst of a surge in scams, Visa introduced artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning-based fraud detection solutions, namely Visa Account Attack Intelligence (VAAI) and Featurespace.
VAAI is designed to identify and prevent enumeration attacks (sensitive information), while Featurespace is designed to prevent fraud proactively from various payment methods in real time even before fraud occurs.
As part of its commitment to maintaining the integrity and security of digital payment systems, Visa also continues to strengthen efforts to combat cybercrime and fraud.
This step is realized through improving the capabilities of the security technology network and strategic investments that have reached more than 12 billion US dollars (Rp186 trillion) in the last five years.
The funds are focused on protecting consumers and business actors from various forms of digital threats that are increasingly complex and dynamic.
Indonesia is at an important point in its journey towards a digital economy. The transition from cash to digital payments is not just a trend, but a reflection of our readiness to innovate, strengthen the resilience of the financial system, and encourage wider economic inclusion," said Vira Widiyasari, Country Manager of Visa Indonesia.
