HoYoverse Stop Genshin Impact Support At PS4 Starting Next Year

JAKARTA - Game developer Genshin Impact, HoYoverse, officially announced that it will stop supporting and updating for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) version of the game in stages until April 2026.

In the announcement released through the official channel, HoYoverse expressed its appreciation to the players for the support that has been given so far to the PS4 version of Genshin Impact.

However, the developer insists that the PS5 version will not be affected and will still get the latest updates and content as usual.

Due to the limitations of hardware performance and platform application size, Genshin Impact support and updates for the PS4 version will be stopped in the future, sincerely studio.

The suspension of the PS4 version of the Genshin Impact service will be carried out in three stages:

Game Deletion From PlayStation Store

Starting September 10, 2025, the PS4 version of Genshin Impact is no longer available for download. However, players who have downloaded this game can still access it through the Library menu.

Termination Of Purchase In Games

Starting February 25, 2026, all in-game purchases for the PS4 version will be discontinued. Travelers can't top-up or buy items from stores in games or through the PlayStation Store.

Termination Of Update Support

The final stage will begin on April 8, 2026, where all updates to the PS4 version will be terminated and players will no longer be able to enter the game from the PS4 device.

HoYoverse also appealed to PS4 players to switch to other platforms such as PS5, PC, or mobile devices, to still be able to play Genshin Impact.
