JAKRTA - Google launched a new feature that allows iOS users to easily switch their Google company or organization work accounts to personal accounts on Chrome.
Previously, iOS users had to really log out of their one Google account first, then log in with another account, and repeat this process every time they wanted to access a different account.
This step answers the organization's need for the use of personal devices to access company data and systems. With this new feature, the company can ensure that job information is not mixed with user's personal activities.
"Many people use mobile devices for work and personal purposes, so they often take turns entering their Google accounts. To simplify this process while strengthening security, Chrome on iOS now offers smooth account replacements accompanied by data separation for managed accounts," Google wrote in its blog.
Not only that, Google is also expanding the browser security feature to mobile devices. Now the IT team can activate various security policies to reduce the risk of data leakage, including monitoring activities through an integrated reporting system to Google Admin Konsole and other SIEM platforms.

"The Chrome Enterprise reporting feature is now extending to Android and iOS, allowing organizations to send security incident data to investigative tools on Google Admin Konsole, log Chrome, or SIEM of their choice," the search giant said.
One of the features that has also been expanded is the URL filtering, which allows organizations to block access to unauthorized sites such as generative AI (GenAI) services that are not allowed. This feature was previously only available on desktop and Android, and is now also present on iOS.
