Microsoft Mass Layoffs, Blizzard Won't Create New Content For Warcraft Rumble Game

JAKARTA - Blizzard Entertainment has officially announced that it will no longer present new content for the upcoming Warcraft Rumble game.

"After going through many considerations, we have come to a very difficult decision. Going forward, we will continue to support Rumble with updates focused on routine and systematic in-game events as well as bug fixes, but no new content," Blizzard wrote in an announcement on its official website.

The company said that this decision was taken after a lengthy evaluation since the game's launch in 2023, although its development had started nine years ago.

Although he had shown some progress in terms of player development and response, these results were deemed insufficient to ensure the sustainability of the game.

Some of the work shows signs of progress, but in the end it is not enough to put the game on track towards sustainability, continued Blizzard.

Blizzard also expressed his appreciation to the players and the entire development team. Several members of the Rumble team will continue their work on other projects in Blizzard, while others will have to separate from the company.

The announcement comes after tech giant Microsoft announced it would lay off as many as 9,000 employees worldwide.
