Huawei Pamer 5G-A Innovation And AI Service At MWC Shanghai 2025

JAKARTA - Huawei introduced the latest breakthrough in the monetization of 5G Advanced (5G-A) technology and AI-based services at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2025 event.

With the theme Acceleration of the Smart World, Huawei invites global telecommunication operators, industry partners, and opinion leaders to discuss business development opportunities based on artificial intelligence (AI).

Huawei focuses on three main areas, namely service, infrastructure, and operations. In service, Huawei announced the successful implementation of 5G-A and scenario-based AI (AitoX) which has been implemented with the three largest telecommunication operators in China.

In the infrastructure sector, Huawei is launching an AI Ultra-Broadband (AI UBB) solution, which includes networks from home broadband to transportation, with end-to-end computing to improve performance and support network evolution to higher autonomy levels.

While in the operating sector, Huawei together with China's largest operator share the best practices in managing wireless and broadband networks.

"After the rapid growth phase over the last nearly four decades, the industry has entered a period of adjek development accompanied by several challenges to achieve new growth," said Huawei Deputy Chairman Eric Xu, in his remarks.

Xu also said that there are at least four growth routes for the telecommunications industry, including meeting HD video requests, introducing 5G in vehicles, and introducing FTTR solutions for micro and small businesses to maximize AI utilization.

Huawei also highlighted the development of 5G-A adoption in China, which is already available in more than 300 cities, with more than 10 million users. This technology is expected to drive smart transformations in sectors such as transportation and manufacturing.

According to him, with the development of AI use, the telecommunications industry has a great opportunity to innovate and create a new monetization model.

Including through smart home services and smart vehicles that integrate AI and vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) technology.
