NASA, Axiom Space, and SpaceX have postponed the launch schedule for the Axiom 4 (Ax-4) mission. Now, all three are in discussions to decide on the latest launch schedule.
This is the second delay for the Ax-4 mission. Previously, the flight mission was scheduled to launch on June 19, 2025. The day before the launch was carried out, the Ax-4 launch schedule was updated to Sunday, June 22.
However, after further review, NASA still has to repair the back of Zvezda's service module on the International Space Station (ISS). Therefore, the Ax-4 launch schedule must be postponed until repairs are complete.
NASA, Axiom Space, and SpaceX have yet to set the latest Ax-4 flight schedules. The US space agency stated that it will announce the latest launch date 'in the coming days'.
The Ax-4 mission was first postponed due to a problem with the Falcon 9. The SpaceX rocket is known to have had a liquid oxygen leak when the wet rehearsal was carried out, precisely after the static fire. This problem has been addressed by SpaceX.

The next delay was based on leakage issues on the ISS, precisely at the back of Zvezda modules. This problem was fixed by NASA and Roscosmos, Russia's aviation agency, but NASA still needed additional repair time.
"Because the space station system is interconnected and dependent on each other, NASA wants to make sure the station is ready for additional crew members, and the agency takes the time it takes to review the data," NASA said in its report, quoted on Friday, June 20.
NASA is still monitoring the pressure in the transfer tunnel section. The pressure has decreased for some time so the flight control team continues to monitor the modules regularly to date.
