JAKARTA - Meta officially launched the WhatsApp application on the iPad, which is designed to be multitasking, so it's ideal to solve more things on just one screen.

"As one of the most requested things, we are delighted to announce that WhatsApp is now available on the iPad," the company wrote in an announcement on its official website quoted Wednesday, May 28.

WhatsApp for the iPad brings all existing features to the larger screen, including video and audio calls with a maximum of 32 people, sharing screens, and using front and rear cameras.

With multitasking mode, you can take advantage of iPadOS features such as Stage Manager, Split View, and Slide Over to see several applications at once. WhatsApp on the iPad is also compatible with Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil.

WhatsApp for the iPad uses the best multidevice technology in our industry to ensure sync on iPhone, Mac, and other devices, while protecting private messages, phone calls, and media with end-to-end encryption, Meta added.

Like the WhatsApp app anywhere, there are additional layers of privacy, such as chat keys, ensuring you can have private conversations with confidence, even if your iPad is also used by other people.

"This is just WhatsApp's first step on the iPad, we are looking forward to one input from you. Now it can be downloaded on the App Store," he concluded.

WhatsApp on the iPad is now available on the app store for the iPad Pro with the M4, iPad Pro 12.9 inches (generation-3 and later), iPad Pro 11 inches (generation-1 and later), and iPad Air (generation 5th), iPad Air 11 inches (M2 and later), and iPad Air 13 inches (M2 and later).
