Elon Musk Returns To Work 24/7, Most Of The X Disorders Have Recovered

JAKARTA - Elon Musk's social media platform, X, has mostly recovered for most users after experiencing disruptions affecting tens of thousands of users in the United States on Saturday, May 24, according to the Downdetector.com disruption tracking site. Following the disruption, Musk stated that he is now "back working 24/here in his companies."

At its peak at around 08:51 local time (19:51 WIB), there were more than 25,800 user reports experiencing problems with the social media platform. The X VOI account also experienced similar disturbances. However, the number of disturbance reports decreased drastically to below 650 per 12:09 p.m. local time, according to Downdetector who collects reports from various sources including users.

"I've returned to work 24-7 and slept in the conference/server/factories room. I have to be super focused on X, xAI, and Tesla, plus the launch of Starship next week, because we're going to launch important technology," Musk said via upload on X.

Thousands of users from other countries such as Germany, Spain, France, India, Canada, Australia, Indonesia and the UK are also having difficulty accessing the platform at the peak of disruption, according to Downdetector data.

Until this news was published, X had not commented on the disturbance when asked for a response by the media.

Previously, Musk, who has poured nearly 300 million US dollars to support the campaign for US President Donald Trump and Republican elections last year, stated on Tuesday that he would cut his political spending significantly. This indicates that he is shifting his focus back to the business world amid investor concerns.

Musk previously led a "Government Efficiency Department" aimed at removing tens of thousands of jobs and canceling contracts and billions of dollars in grants.

However, Musk's political views have sparked a wave of protests against Tesla in the US and Europe, which resulted in a decline in sales and led Tesla to record a decline in annual shipments for the first time last year.

Musk's time for Tesla has become a concern for investors. To ease those concerns, Musk last month told investors he would reduce his working time at DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) to just one to two days per week from May.
