This feature is presented to help users with visual impairments, according to Google's explanation. Using Page Zoom, Chrome users can enlarge the size or size of the text on all websites.
"Page Zoom now allows you to enlarge the text you see on Chrome on Android," explains Google. "You can customize how much you want to zoom in and apply preferences easily to all pages."
