Many Reports, Komdigi Gercep Blocks Six Facebook Groups 'Blood Fantation'

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs has finally followed up on public complaints and has cut off access to groups and the Facebook community containing disturbing content.

One of the groups blocked is a group containing content related to "Blood Fantation". The Director General of Digital Space Supervision of the Ministry of Komdigi, Alexander Sabar, stated that the content of the group is against the social norms and laws in force in Indonesia.

"The group contains adult family member fantasy content for the biological family, especially for minors," said Alex in his official broadcast on Friday, May 16.

Alex also admitted that his party had coordinated with Meta to block these groups, in line with the government's vision to protect children from digital content that could potentially damage their mental and emotional development.

"We immediately coordinated with Meta to block the community group. This group is classified as the spread of understanding that is contrary to the prevailing norms in society," he said.

This act of breaking access is also part of the implementation of Government Regulation (PP) Number 17 of 2025 concerning Governance of Electronic System Implementation in Child Protection (PP Tunas).

This rule regulates the obligation of every digital platform to protect children from exposure to harmful content and guarantees children's right to grow in a safe and healthy digital environment.

Furthermore, he emphasized that the Ministry of Komdigi will continue to strengthen supervision of digital activities that deviate and increase cross-sectoral cooperation in order to create a clean, healthy national digital space and side with the interests of the next generation of the nation.

However, he also emphasized that the success of maintaining digital space does not only depend on the government and platform providers, but also requires active participation from the wider community.

"We urge the public to help maintain a safe and reliable digital space and participate in providing supervision of any content or digital activity that endangers our child's future. Immediately report negative digital content and activities through the complaint channel.id," said Alexander.
