Telkomsel Backs Up Owners At 480 BTS In Bali When Electricity Is Out

JAKARTA - A subsidiary of the State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) PT Telkom Indonesia, Telkomsel deployed a mobile backup power to 480 BTS in Bali to restore network services when PLN's electricity went out.

"Telkomsel has deployed a 'mobile backup power' to the 480 affected BTS in order to maintain service sustainability and restore traffic in stages," said General Manager of Telkomsel's Consumer Business Regional Bali Nusa Tenggara Mulyadi Indra quoting Antara.

Due to the widespread power supply from PLN in the Bali area on Friday (2/5) afternoon until the evening of the operation of the Telkomsel network infrastructure, it was also affected, including the fiber optic submarine cable communication system (SKKL).

Telkomsel also apologized for the inconvenience felt by customers in accessing Telkomsel's services during the blackout.

Mulyadi ensured that the Telkomsel network in Bali was back to normal.

"We are committed to optimally maintaining service quality and will continue to provide periodic updates," he said.

Previously, PLN stated that on Friday (2/5) the poem at 16.09 WITA until the evening the electricity throughout Bali was out.

PLN is still investigating the cause of the damage to the power grid.
