JAKARTA - Meta announced the expansion of the availability of the Live Translation feature which was originally in early access to more users of the Ray-Ban Meta glasses in the world.

"And soon to be publicly available in the US and Canada, you will be able to have conversations with Meta AI on your Meta Ray-Ban glasses," Meta said in its announcement.

So if you travel to a new country and need to ask directions somewhere, you can have smooth conversations in English, French, Italian and Spanish, without requiring Wi-Fi or network connectivity.

When you talk to someone in one of those languages, you'll hear what they say in the language of your choice through the glasses directly, and they can see the transcript of the conversation translated on your phone.

We are starting to expand access to music apps including Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Shazam outside the US and Canada, so now you can ask Meta AI to play music and listen to your favorite songs everywhere," he added.

Not only that, Meta is also expanding access to Meta AI on Ray-Ban Meta glasses in more countries in the European Union. And starting next week, the tech giant will launch the ability to ask Meta AI and get a real-time response.

This new feature was recently available to users across the ocean in the UK earlier this month. Due to a positive response, it will launch Ray-Ban Meta glasses in Mexico, India, and the United Arab Emirates.

Thanks to software updates like this, your AI glasses will continue to be smarter and more useful from time to time. Look forward to other updates in the coming days and weeks," Meta concluded.
