Support Government Program, GoPay Presents QRIS Tap In Android Application

JAKARTA - In addition to DANA, GoPay, the Financial Technology business unit from PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia (GOTO) also presents the GoPay QRIS Tap payment feature using NFC technology in the GoPay application.

QRIS Tap is expected to facilitate public payment transactions both when riding public transportation, making payments at retail, MSMEs, and parking.

"GoPay continues to innovate to provide leading technology that will make it easier for users to transact non-cash. We also hope that this innovation will also be a step of support for Bank Indonesia in encouraging the digitization of payments," said Kelvin Timothy, Head of GoPay Wallet in an official statement on Tuesday, March 18.

Currently, the QRIS Tap payment method as one of the ticket payment options is starting to be tested on a limited basis on the Jakarta MRT for one month.

The application of ticket payment options through QRIS Tap at MRT Jakarta currently only applies to the HI Bank DKI - Lebak Bulus roundabout or vice versa.

Kelvin explained that in the limited trial phase of QRIS Tap at MRT Jakarta, MRT users can use GoPay QRIS Tap on the MRT according to the applicable route.

"GoPay is one of the participating e-wallets. By paying using the GoPay application, users can get cashback in each transaction using QRIS," he added.

Currently, GoPay QRIS Tap payments are only available to Android users. GoPay application users can use GoPay QRIS Tap, including at several retail merchants, MSMEs, transportation, to parking.
