JAKARTA - The DANA digital wallet launched the QRIS Without Scan (QRIS TAP) feature initiated by Bank Indonesia, in order to expand the digital payment ecosystem which is inclusive, safe, and cheap for public services.

QRIS TAP relies on NFC technology that has been embedded in the user's smartphone. In the first phase, users can take advantage of QRIS TAP with DANA for several types of needs, namely payment of public transportation modes and retail shopping and MSMEs.

The payment of public transportation modes includes travel by Transjakarta and Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) in several provinces and cities such as West Java, Surakarta, Banyumas, Banjarmasin, and now includes payments for the Jakarta MRT.

"We believe QRIS TAP will encourage digital payment inclusiveness, encouraging people to be closer to non-cash transactions for various needs," said CEO & Co-Founder of DANA Indonesia, Vince Iswara in his official statement on Monday, March 17.

To use this feature, users only need to open the DANA application, tap on the QRIS TAP feature, then direct the smartphone to the merchant's payment terminal to complete the transaction.

In anticipating a surge in users and ensuring a comfortable QRIS TAP experience during the Eid 2025 holiday, DANA has prepared a series of layered security and educational technologies for users.

In addition to encouraging users to enable all levels of security (PIN, OTP, DANA VIZ) according to the security advice of the DANA Protection, DANA also continues to increase user vigilance to maintain their personal data through in-app education to social media.

DANA customer service is also present at all times, in order to provide a quick solution for every obstacle experienced by the community, especially during the holiday period.
