JAKARTA - Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) Meutya Hafid appreciated the launch of the Indonesia AI Institute (IAII). According to him, this launch is an innovative step.

Founded by two women, Meutya believes that this institution can encourage a more inclusive, innovative, and competitive intelligence (AI) ecosystem, especially for women.

"The presence of the Indonesia AI Institute proves that collaboration and innovation are the keys to unlocking the great potential of artificial intelligence in Indonesia," said Meutya at the IAII launch event on Saturday, March 15.

AI is not only popular among ordinary people, but also in various companies and agencies. This technology has succeeded in encouraging digital transformation quickly so that Komdigi is committed to continuing to support it in the future.

Although this technology is urgently needed, Meutya believes that automation AI can replace a person's work, even work that has been dominated by women. This needs to be considered to prevent a digital gap between genders.

"If we don't take the right steps, the digital gap between men and women can widen," said Meutya. "Let's build an AI ecosystem that is not only sophisticated, but also ethical and inclusive."
