Telegram Presents Chromecast Feature, Can Show Videos On Television

JAKARTA Telegram, a messaging platform that is a competitor to WhatsApp, launched Chromecast support in its application. With this feature, users can stream videos on television.

Telegram is a fairly popular app because this platform not only offers private and group chat rooms, but also the ability to share videos with high quality. In fact, users can share videos with a very long duration.

Therefore, Telegram is often used as a place to look for illegal videos when users don't want to subscribe to Netflix, Disney Hostar, or VIU. Instead of spending tens of thousands just to watch one film or series, users prefer Telegram.

Chromecast support will probably make users more flexible in watching illegal videos, but this feature is actually quite useful for other things. Users no longer need to download videos and use apps with Chromecast support.

To use the Chromecast feature on Telegram, users only need to open the video they want to watch, then tap the gear-wheeled icon at the top. After that, select the Chromecast menu in the window that appears, to be precise at the bottom.

"Android users can now show live videos to their Chromecast devices either while watching memes with friends or conveying important content in meetings, enjoy everything on the big screen," Telegram said on its update site.

In accordance with Telegram's statement, this feature can only be accessed in the Telegram application for Android, not for iOS. This feature can also be accessed, including in Indonesia so that watching Telegram videos on television is now much smoother.
